Terms of Use
Last updated: November 7, 2026
These terms apply when you use Selfscope at selfscope.app, take a test or buy a membership. Selfscope is run by Westpoint Technologies Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England, company number 17566082, registered office Unit 13 Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Lytchett Matravers, Poole, BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected]. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data; where they deal with personal data, they take priority over these terms.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By using Selfscope you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. The terms shown at checkout, our Subscription terms and our Refund policy form part of these terms.
2. Who can use Selfscope
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You must not use Selfscope where the law of your country doesn't allow it, or if you are subject to sanctions that prevent us from providing it to you.
3. What Selfscope is
Selfscope offers online tests about personality, preferences and habits, with written reports. The tests are for self-reflection and entertainment. They are not a medical, psychological or psychiatric assessment, and they don't diagnose any condition. The birth chart is astrology, offered for entertainment. Prices, climate and visa notes in the city report are general estimates; check them with official sources before you make plans. We may add, change or retire tests.
4. Not medical advice
Selfscope doesn't provide medical care, therapy or crisis support, and using it doesn't create a relationship with a doctor or therapist. The attention and focus self-check uses publicly available screening questions; its result is not a diagnosis of ADHD or anything else. Don't use a Selfscope report to make medical or clinical decisions. If you're worried about your health, talk to a qualified professional.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number now. In the US you can call or text 988. In the UK, call 999, or call Samaritans free on 116 123.
5. No promise of results
Reports describe tendencies based on your answers. Different people get different results, and we don't promise any particular outcome from reading a report.
6. Your account
We create your account when you give us your email after a test. You can sign in with a code we email you or with a password you set. Give us an email address you can use, keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
7. Membership, prices and payment
The full reports are part of a paid membership. The price, the trial and the renewal terms are shown before you pay and are set out in our Subscription terms. Prices include sales tax and VAT.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. When you pay, you also accept Paddle's buyer terms, and you allow Paddle to charge your payment method for the first payment and each renewal until you cancel.
We offer one trial per email address. If a payment fails or is reversed, for example through a chargeback, we may pause access to the reports until the matter is settled. If we change the price of your membership, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, and you can cancel before then.
8. Cancellation, refunds and your right to cancel
You can cancel at any time in your account. Our Refund policy explains when we refund a charge and how the 14-day right to cancel works for customers in the UK and the EU.
9. Our content and your licence
The tests, questions, reports, texts, images and software on Selfscope belong to us or our licensors. While you have access, we give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own non-commercial purposes. You may save and print your own reports.
10. Things you must not do
- Copy, sell, share or republish our tests or reports, or resell access to Selfscope.
- Use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to extract content, or use our content to build or train another product or AI model.
- Try to break, overload or reverse engineer the service, get around payment, or get into other people's accounts.
- Give false information, pretend to be someone else, or use Selfscope for anything unlawful.
- Abuse or threaten our support staff.
If you do any of these, we may suspend or close your account.
11. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely and without paying you.
12. Availability and changes
We work to keep Selfscope running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to pause it for maintenance. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we'll tell you by email or on the site before the change takes effect. If you don't agree with the change, you can cancel before it applies.
13. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deleting it stops your subscription and removes your reports. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms; if we close it without a good reason, we'll refund the unused part of the period you paid for. Sections 4, 5, 9, 11, 14 and 16 continue to apply after your account ends.
14. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for business losses, or for decisions you make based on a report. Apart from that, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
We don't exclude or limit liability where the law doesn't allow it, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. If you live in a place whose law doesn't allow some of these limits, they apply to you only as far as that law allows.
15. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the consumer laws of EU countries and US states.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer law of your country and bring a claim in your local courts. Before going to court, please write to us at [email protected] and give us 30 days to try to solve the problem; most problems are quick to solve by email.
17. General
Emails and notices on the site count as notice in writing. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to another company, for example if Selfscope is sold, and we'll tell you if that happens; your rights won't be reduced. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms, together with the documents named in section 1, are the whole agreement between you and us about Selfscope.
